the best design books to style with
Books are my absolute styling go-to. The right book combo can add so much elevation and personality to a space, and I personally believe you can never have too many on display.

Why design books?
When it comes to design books, they quite honestly have a dual purpose. They give us the ability to create beautiful focal points and aesthetically pleasing vignettes in a matter of seconds, but they also serve as a portal for inspiration, enabling us to lean into the creativity of great designers, stylists and enthusiasts as they share their artful approach and process for well curated spaces.
There are so many ways to stack and display books making them super versatile as a styling tool, not only on bookshelves and ledges, but also on coffee tables, bedside tables, side tables, consoles, kitchen shelves, and the list goes on and on…
But one of the things I love most about books playing a large role in my interior schemes is their ability to so candidly reflect our values and the things that mean the most to us. They easily remind us of what we stand for, what we’re interested in and what’s important to us on a daily basis - be it a love for great design, travel, fashion, art or culture.
Styling tip!
And don’t be discouraged if your book spine doesn’t 100% fit your scheme - if you love it, it should absolutely have a spot on the bookshelf. One way I like to get around using books that don’t have a nicely coordinated spine, is facing it backwards so the pages are at the front to unify it with the rest of your vignette or overall look.
