About Lou Marx -
Founded by Lou Marx,
Marx and Co has an interconnected and multi-disciplinary skill set which spans across the physical and non-physical environments.
I started my career in broadcast radio and quickly gained experience across a plethora of creative industries - including advertising and journalism. With time spent in radio, magazine, TV, online, creative writing, and later, in marketing, branding and design - my entire working life has been founded on multi-faceted communication, storytelling and connection.
In 2019, just a few months after my first child was born, I left my position as head of brand and marketing for a well known personal brand to pursue my own dreams of opening up a creative agency. The agency focused on building businesses from the brand up with creative brand strategy, design and content creation services.
After a successful few years in business I made the decision to close down the company, and take my creative skills offline and into the world of physicality and materiality by studying interior design.
Deep down, I was looking for a way to infuse all of my skills together in a more meaningful way. A love of storytelling, boundless creativity and of course - design all in one place.
And so, Marx & Co was born. A place for people to be part of a considered conversation. Gather ideas. Be inspired. Learn and create. And also a place where we can take those ideas and concepts and put them into real form.
What I have come to learn over the years is that no matter the project, it all comes down to one thing - creativity.
Creativity is the backbone of any idea. It carries the vision and turns ideas into reality.
If you have a process for creativity, then you can create almost anything.
With this application and the cumulation of years of multi-faceted experience, Marx & Co is able to support business owners and home owners, creatives and design enthusiasts, from any and all touch points.
We approach life through an elevated lens with the understanding that function, when met with style, can create something truly extraordinary for those who can perceive it.
We believe, when done right, this leads to higher levels of connection, better experiences and an increased sense of wellbeing.
