The Blush & Black Edit

A vision you can’t ignore - Blush and Black is the epitome of elevated drama. Image Source Pinterest > Enchanting Matrimony Inspirations: Wedding Dresses, Rings & More

Ok, so you may know I’m having a pink moment right now because of a current project I’m working on. Basically, my client loooooves pink and it has given me a whole new appreciation for the colour.

As we work through the styling of her home, I’m taking it upon myself to branch out a little and experiment more with pinks, because, why not?

It’s not a colour I usually gravitate towards so I’m glad it’s now on my radar in a big way.

Not only does pink feel fun, flirty and feminine, when paired with a soft cream and a lovely black anchor, the palette quite quickly becomes elevated and bold.

I love the crossover between interiors and fashion - this mood board is a closer look of how they can creatively integrate.

With fashion and interiors so intimately linked, here we see how the two can take inspiration from each other, and in a way, create a cohesive sort of lifestyle aesthetic.

After all, your style doesn’t need to stop at the front door—why not live it, wear it, and celebrate it every day?

And, for a more pragmatic approach to styling with this palette, here’s an example mood board (at the bottom of the page) of how you can pull together a fun, edgy, playful and sophisticated moment in your own space. It’ll totally crossover to fashion too, so if you’re wanting to take it for a test run on your wardrobe first, that could be a fun place to start.

The palette

A refined interplay of softness and strength, this look leans into plush femininity with a bold, modern edge.

Blush tones take centre stage, wrapped in generous, curved forms that feel inviting and indulgent, while sharp hits of black ground the palette and add a sense of drama.

The materials

Marble surfaces and sculptural accents introduce a tactile richness, balancing polish with organic texture.

How to create this look

To recreate the look, start with a hero piece in a soft pink hue, then anchor it with black through furniture, lighting or artwork.

Layer in stone or marble for depth, and mix rounded silhouettes with more structured lines to create contrast.

Keep styling intentional—pared back but impactful—letting each piece feel considered, elevated, and effortlessly decadent.

For colours, outside of black and pink - layer in tones of beige, greige and white for a clean, light contrast.
